Walmart's Prime Day deals have started: Dyson, Instant Pot, Chromebooks, and more

Best Walmart Prime Day deals as of Oct. 12: 

They won’t officially call them this (they call it “the big save”), but Walmart is a great place to scope out Prime Day deals.

It’s less than surprising that one of the biggest Black Friday retailers is taking advantage of another spending holiday — even if that spending holiday technically belongs to its direct competitor. 

In a 2019 compilation of the best places to shop on Black Friday, WalletHub found Walmart to have a bigger average discount across sale items on the site than Amazon. (Walmart averaged a 34.3% discount in 2019 while Amazon barely made it past 25%.) We expect that this trend could follow through to Prime Day — and with social distancing pushing both spending events within just a month or so of each other, the competition on big-ticket items like TVs and cooking appliances could be more feisty than in years when Prime Day is in July.
