Simply titled SpaceX, the series will consist of six episodes touching on how Musk founded the space exploration company in 2002 with hopes of reducing space transportation costs to ultimately pave the way for the colonization of other planets. The program is expected to delve into the new era of privately-funded space exploration and highlight SpaceX’s
Star Trek Beyond and Mindhunter writer Doug Jung has been tapped to write and executive produce the series, as Channing Tatum will also executive produce under his production company Free Association, in addition to Reid Carolin, Peter Kiernan, and Vance and Len Amato.
Musk is not currently attached to the show, but don’t be surprised if this changes in the near future, seeing as he has a tendency to have an active hand in most endeavors his name is associated with. The billionaire businessman, designer, and engineer is a modern-day renaissance man of sorts, with projects that range from SpaceX and Tesla, to The Boring Company, Neuralink, and OpenAI to his credit.
