Barrett-Jackson is now offering legendary racing driver and car designer Carroll Shelby‘s personal Cobra 427 Super Snake for auction.

Once owned by the automotive icon himself, the Super Snake is only one of 23 427 competition models ever made back in the ’60s. It was originally equipped with a 427 cubic-inch V8 engine when it was produced in 1966, and later on received twin Paxton superchargers and a three-speed automatic transmission a year later in 1967 when the car was converted into a semi-competition model. Still in extremely well condition, the car retains its original body with the Super Snake hood, its Competition Girling CR and BR calipers from 1965, and its 427 Competition 377 rear end, including the rear end cooler and pumps.

For those interested, you can learn more about Shelby’s Cobra 427 Super Snake or bid for it over on Barrett-Jackson’s website.

Elsewhere in the automotive world, Formula 1 champion Sebastian Vettel’s Ferrari Enzo is up for sale.
