Editor’s Notes: With a release just days away, Nike has shared official imagery of the “Pink Pig” Dunk Low. Contrary to the name and the colorway, the Nike SB design isn’t inspired by swine. Instead, it references a Porsche race car that debuted at the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans, as the vehicle’s panels were named after cuts of meat from a pig. The suede pair boasts an overall tonal look, contrasted by red branding on the tongue, heel, and insole. You can look for the Nike SB Dunk Low “Pink Pig” to release first in Asia on February 1, followed by a drop in Europe on February 13. Authorized skate shops in the US will release the shoe throughout the month of February.

Editor’s Notes: For their new collaboration, Bandulu and Converse have explored the relationship between creativity and basketball, leading the Pat Peltier-led brand to reimagine two Converse classics in the Pro Leather and Chuck 70. The Pro Leather — made famous by Dr. J — draws attention with Bandulu’s signature embroidered paint drip details decorating the leather upper. Similarly, the Chuck 70 also incorporates the embroidered paint drip on its canvas upper and midsole, while an embroidered logo brands the pair on the tongues. Complementing the sneakers is a range of apparel and quite possibly the overall standout from the collaboration, a Cappuccino-colored basketball bag with multicolored embroidery.

Editor’s Notes: The latest collaboration between Carhartt WIP and Converse is inspired by classic Carhartt WIP fabrics and detailing. Subsequently, we see the iconic Chuck 70 Hi optioned in two colorways: Hamilton Brown and woodland camouflage, the former referencing archetypal Carhartt WIP garments such as the Double Knee Pant and Active Jacket, and the latter showcasing a pattern that has been featured in Carhartt WIP collections since the early ’90s. Each model is constructed using 12-ounce canvas, while an OrthoLite insole offers enhanced comfort. Vintage license plates and co-branded footbeds appropriately brand the Chucks to complete each design.
